MAGNETS is a Horizon Europe EDCTP3-funded initiative offering 10 two-year, fully funded Master's-level fellowships to early- and mid-career researchers in Sub-Saharan Africa. Fellows will receive structured training in malaria genomic epidemiology and biostatistics, embedded within ongoing research at four host African institutions.
MAGNETS is a consortium of six institutions: Centro de Investigação em Saúde de Manhiça (CISM, Mozambique), Infectious Disease Research Collaboration (IDRC, Uganda), National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD) through Wits Health Consortium (WHC, South Africa), Armauer Hansen Research Institute (AHRI, Ethiopia), ISGlobal (Spain), and the University of California San Francisco (UCSF, USA).
